Present Continuous describes actions happening now or around the current time.

The Present Continuous is a verb tense that shows an action happening now.
Rule
- am/is/are + -ing form (The -ing form is a verb ending in 'ing', like 'eating').
Usage
- We use Present Continuous to talk about actions happening at the moment of speaking.
- It's also used for actions that are in progress but not necessarily happening exactly now.
- Present Continuous can describe plans or arrangements for the near future.
Examples
- I am studying English now.
- She is working on a project.
- They are moving to a new apartment next month.
- He is not sleeping; he's watching TV.
- We are having a meeting at 2 PM.
- It is raining outside.
Common Mistakes
- Wrong: I am go store. Correct: I am going to the store.
- Wrong: She study for exam. Correct: She is studying for the exam.
- Wrong: They be eating dinner. Correct: They are eating dinner.
Tip
To form the Present Continuous, just add '-ing' to the base form of the verb and use am, is, or are before it.
