How Your Overall Band Score Works
You receive a score for each of the four sections - Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking - each on the 0-9 band scale. Your Overall Band Score is the average of these four, rounded to the nearest whole or half band.

When results come out
Computer-delivered IELTS results are typically available online within a few days of your test date; paper-based IELTS takes longer. Your exact result date is confirmed when you book, and results are accessible through your official IELTS account.
