Adverbs of frequency, manner and degree are words that give more information about verbs, adjectives or other adverbs.
Rule
- Adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens. Example: always, often, sometimes.
- Adverbs of manner tell us how something is done. Example: quickly, loudly, wisely.
- Adverbs of degree tell us how much or to what extent something happens. Example: very, extremely, slightly.
Usage
- We use adverbs of frequency to talk about routines and habits. For example: I always brush my teeth before bed.
- We use adverbs of manner to describe how something is done. For example: She sings beautifully.
- We use adverbs of degree to emphasize or downplay something. For example: This coffee is very hot.

Common Mistakes
