Switch to a different course

You can change the exam you're preparing for at any time. One account keeps all your practice history, whatever course you are on.

On the web

1. Click the course name at the top of the dashboard.
2. Choose Switch course.
3. Confirm Switch Course? Switching resets your goals and restarts the short onboarding, so you can set a new exam date and target score for the new course.

In the mobile app

1. Open the More tab (your profile).
2. Tap Switch Course (or Change Course).
3. Confirm, then answer the onboarding questions for the new course.

What stays and what changes

Stays with your account	Changes
All your previous reports and scores	Your target score and exam date are reset for the new course
Your points, streak and referral rewards	Your dashboard, practice pages and Study Plan follow the new course
Any access you bought for other courses	Access is per course. See below

Do I need to pay again?

Access is bought per course family:

• One IELTS plan covers both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
• One PTE plan covers both PTE Academic and PTE Core.
• OET and Interview Preparation each have their own plans.

So switching between IELTS Academic and General Training keeps your access, but moving from IELTS to PTE needs PTE access.

Studying through an institution?

If your institution manages your account, your course may be set by them. Ask your institution to change it. They can move you to another course without losing your history.
