Joining Practet through your institution
How institution portals work, how to accept an invitation and how to switch between your own account and your institution's portal.
Many coaching centres and schools run their own Practet portal. It has the same practice, often with the institution's own name and logo, and its own web address such as yourschool.practet.com. Your institution manages your access, and your teachers can see your reports and leave feedback.
Accepting an invitation
- Open the invitation email from your institution.
- Click the link in the email.
- Create your account, or sign in if you already have one. The course your institution chose is already set.
- Complete the short goals setup and start practising.
Some institutions create your account for you and give you a username and password instead. Sign in with those at your institution's portal address. You can change the password afterwards in Profile → Change password.
Your own account and your institution's portal
Your Practet account can belong to more than one place: your own Practet account and one or more institution portals.
- On the web: go to Profile → Linked portal to see every portal you belong to and your role in each.
- In the app: go to More → Linked Portals and tap Switch next to the portal you want. Tap Switch to your account to go back to your own Practet account.
You can only switch to portals where you are enrolled as a Student.
Who manages my access?
When you're in an institution portal, your institution manages your subscription. The subscription and credits screens say so, and buying is turned off. To get more days, contact your institution.
Can't sign in to the app?
Institutions can choose whether a student may use the mobile app. If you can sign in on the web but the app refuses, ask your institution to turn on Allow app login for your account.
