PTE on Practet - an overview

Practet covers every task type in PTE Academic and PTE Core, plus full-length mock tests scored on the official 10–90 scale.

Academic or Core?

• PTE Academic: for study abroad and most visa purposes.
• PTE Core: for general and work purposes (for example Canadian immigration). It has some different tasks, such as Write Email and Respond to a Situation, and a shorter summary task.

Choose the right one during onboarding, or later with Switch course. One PTE plan covers both.

How scoring works

• Speaking and Writing are scored by AI on the official traits (Content, Form, Grammar, Vocabulary, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation and so on).
• Reading and Listening are marked instantly, with partial credit and negative marking where the real test uses them.
• Mock tests give an overall score, communicative skill scores and enabling skill scores. See Your PTE mock test report.
