Score accuracy, why recording starts on its own, copy-paste, and what counts as a skipped answer.

How close are Practet scores to the real PTE?

Speaking and Writing are scored by AI on the official PTE traits, and Reading and Listening use the official marking rules, including partial credit and negative marking. Scores are a close guide but not an official result.

Why did recording start before I was ready?

The real PTE starts recording automatically when preparation ends, and Practet does the same. In practice mode you can listen back and Re-record. In a mock test you can't.

Why can't I copy and paste?

Copy and paste are turned off to match the exam. Inside a writing answer, use the editor's Cut / Copy / Paste buttons to move your own text around.

I pressed Next by mistake in a mock test.

Mock tests work like the real exam: you can't go back. Finish the test, then practise that task separately.

My speaking score is 0.

Usually the microphone didn't pick up your voice, or the recording was silent or very short. Play your recording back from the report. If it's silent, check your microphone (see My microphone isn't working) and try again. For content-based tasks, an answer that is off-topic can also score 0.

Does one plan cover Academic and Core?

Yes. A PTE plan covers both.
