Understanding your Reading and Listening reports
Band score, correct, incorrect and skipped answers, time per question, category analysis and step-by-step explanations.
Reading and Listening are marked the moment you submit.
Score & Analysis
- Band Score: your raw score out of 40 converted to an IELTS band (for part and section tests, it is worked out from the questions you took).
- Total Questions, Correct Answers, Incorrect Answers and Skipped Questions.
Analysis
- Time taken for a question: where you spent too long. In Reading, fast and correct answers matter.
- Category Analysis: your accuracy (% Correct) for each question type. It shows which types to drill in Category practice.
Review each answer
Open each part or passage to see every question with your answer, the Correct Answer and whether you skipped it (Question Skipped). In Reading, the answer is marked in the passage so you can see where it came from.
Explanations
Click (Show explanation) on a question. Many Reading explanations take you through three steps:
- Skim: the keywords to look for in the passage
- Scan: where the answer is in the passage. Click (View in passage) to jump there
- Evaluate: why that answer is correct
Listening extras
- You can replay the audio in the report and read along to find what you missed.
- Answers are checked for exact spelling. Check the correct answer for words you misspelled.
Teacher Feedback
If your teacher reviews your test, a Teacher Feedback tab appears next to Score & Analysis.
