What to do if the platform isn't picking up your voice.
Experiencing silence in your recordings? Follow these steps to resolve 99% of microphone issues.
Step-by-Step Fix:
- Check Connection: Ensure your headset is properly plugged into the correct port.
- Browser Refresh: Sometimes the browser loses context of the audio device. Refresh (F5) the page.
- Operating System Settings: Go to System Preferences (Mac) or Settings (Windows) > Sound > Input. Ensure the headset mic is selected and the volume bar moves when you speak.
- Close Other Apps: Ensure Zoom, Skype, or Discord aren't 'locking' the microphone for themselves.
