Connecting and Configuring Your Wired Headset

For accurate AI evaluation of your Speaking tests, high-quality audio is non-negotiable. We strictly recommend a WIRED headset with a dedicated microphone.

Why Not Bluetooth?

• Latency: Audio delay can cause your recording to be cut off.
• Interference: Other devices can disrupt the signal mid-test.
• Battery: Running out of power during a 2-hour mock test can be disastrous.

Headset Setup Checklist:

1. Plug in the USB or 3.5mm jack before opening your browser.
2. Position the mic slightly to the side of your mouth (to avoid breathing sounds).
3. Run the Audio Check in the Practet dashboard to confirm clarity.
