OET Eligibility
Who the Occupational English Test is designed for, and what you need to sit it.
Professions covered
OET offers profession-specific Writing and Speaking materials for 12 healthcare fields. Listening and Reading are the same for everyone.
Not on the list? You can still take OET - you sit the nursing or medicine version of Writing and Speaking.
Key requirements
Age & ID
No academic prerequisite. Recommended age 18+; under-16s are not accepted. Bring the same valid photo ID (usually a passport) at booking and on test day.

No limit on the number of sittings and no waiting period between them. Some regulators let you combine grades from two nearby sittings.
